Role Purpose & Accountabilities –
The Business Systems Analyst role involves the analysis of complex scientific processes and information, the development of strategies for effective information management, the design of software solutions that streamline workflows and drive innovation, and the implementation of business systems valued by our partners. A person in this role will be a member of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that exhibits a strong passion for bridging the gap between science and IS. A desire to continually learn and develop, a willingness to think outside the box for creative solutions, and the ability to work collaboratively are the backbone of our project teams.
Accountabilities:
Leading the analysis, understanding and modeling of complex scientific processes.
Identification of high-level and detailed business requirements and translation of these requirements into software specifications.
Designing solutions that most optimally meet user needs and requirements.
Validation of recommendations and proposed software solutions with stakeholders.
Validation of software performance.
Development of user guides and other materials necessary for implementation and hand-off of solutions.
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
2+ year of experience working as an IS business analyst.
Experience working in a scientific/biotech field.
Minimum BA/BS, preferably in a biological field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, including effective stakeholder interview techniques.
Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships in a scientific environment.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-site (virtual) teams and across functional boundaries to achieve a goal that aligns with the business strategy.
Experience with business process modeling.

Stewardship Manager Agrisure Traits – Golden Valley, MN - 1008
Role Purpose
To maintain the systems that will allow all sellers of the Agrisure traits to comply with regulatory or other industry requirements. Work with Agrisure Brand Manager to ensure that compliance is achieved and reported on a timely basis. • Develop and lead the grain channeling systems supporting the Agrisure brand. • Represent Syngenta at industry events and policy makers on refuge stewardship, policy and implementation. • Support Agrisure out licensing strategy with B2B work streams.
Accountabilities
Regulatory compliance: Responsible for collecting all necessary information to supply regulatory for government reporting. • Define, lead the on-farm IRM assessment process for Syngenta Seeds and Agrisure brands. • Define, lead the stewardship process for Agrisure customers. • Define, lead the grain channeling process when applicable.
Knowledge, skills & experience
Critical knowledge
Best candidates will have a bachelors degree in Agriculture or Seed Industry. Knowledge of refuge management and grain industry identity preserve challenges. Regulatory and compliance background is a real plus. Knowledge of IT and or database is a plus but not required.
Critical experience
Previous roles in agriculture that provided agronomic and or identity preserve experience. • Program administration, project management, database management or related IT functions. • Background in process development and driving for process improvement is preferred.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage forward. • Solid foundation in agronomy, grain merchandizing, or database related background. • Works well with diverse employee base. • Proven success within a team dynamic and interpersonal skills.

Molecular Marker Lab, Project Coordinator (Research Associate) – Slater, IA - 1018
Role Purpose –
The Molecular Marker Laboratory is responsible for generating and analyzing large volumes of DNA marker data on field corn, sweet corn, and soybeans using various marker systems, as well as effectively communicating these data to scientists throughout the Syngenta organization. Our project goal is to integrate and apply developing molecular marker technologies faster and more efficiently than all others in our industry. This position is essential to fulfill our project goal, and is responsible for executing laboratory processes necessary to complete marker-assisted plant breeding projects.
Accountabilities –
Function as a member of a diverse project team. Will interact with peers, lab personnel, assay development personnel, and customers from diverse business units. • Use Magenta and associated tools for experiment set up and data storage. • Score and analyze genotypic data using GenoSNP and Genotyper, develop data summaries using BackCross and Excel macros, interpret results, and make appropriate conclusions and recommendations. • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and deliver oral presentations to peers. Contribute to weekly analysis group meetings, monthly and annual marker lab meetings. • Update Project Status Summary and other task tracking tools in a timely manner. • Collaboratively analyze and solve technical problems. Projects will be distributed by the project coordinator. Self-motivated and make short-term plans for own day-to-day activities. • Learn the background of experiments and customer projects. Read and understand scientific literature, participate in meetings and share relevant information with others.
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
Critical knowledge:
Bachelors Degree / Associate degree in Genetics / Biotechnology (RA I) • Bachelors Degree and significant experience 2-3 years in a relevant field (RA II) • Bachelors Degree with 5+ year experience, or Masters Degree in Genetics / Biotechnology (RA III)

Role Purpose –
The purpose of the role is to provide leadership, coordination and safe execution of all Maintenance operations which continue to become more complex and critical given parent seed, continuous nursery and trait development demands on row numbers. These increasing numbers translate directly into additional staffing, equipment and facility needs, which directly impact the Maintenance group. These maintenance operations include: 1) unwavering adherence to all Syngenta, federal, state and local requirements for HSE compliance, 2) establishment of timely and cost effective procedures for the repair activities 3) repair and maintenance of a large fleet of vehicles and farm equipment 4) Inventory management of parts and supplies.
Accountabilities –
Adhere to all current Syngenta, Federal, State and Local HSE requirements, including OSHA and EPA Regulatory and SAMACO compliance • Reliably execute all maintenance operations and projects • Lead and supervise third party employees • Handle in-field equipment repair • Safely execute heavy equipment repair • Provide coordination support for facility maintenance projects • Recommend and implement changes/refinements to maintenance operations. • Maintain detailed repair and maintenance records on all equipment • Maintain data on repair volume by department, item type, cost and date • Participate as an active participant in Maintenance and HSE team • Oversee tasks completed by third-party contract labor to fulfill shop needs
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
Critical knowledge:
Minimum 2 years Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics, plus related ASE certifications • B.S. preferred
Critical experience • At least 5 years of maintenance experience on farm equipment • Prefer experience in a tractor dealership maintenance department • Experience with computers and diagnostic equipment • Experience with timeline critical business • Experience within a regulated industry • Ability to work in a team environment and get along well with others • Must possess or be able to obtain Commercial Drivers License

Role Purpose –

Role Purpose –
In a highly team-oriented environment the Agronomy Research Associate will coordinate all pesticide activities. Technical Training Coordinator – St Gabriel, LA – 956
Role Purpose –
Development and coordination of technical training needs for employees and respective job responsibilities at the St. Gabriel facility. • Incumbent will take the lead in working with department managers to determine technical training needs as well development of site-wide standardized work process.
Accountabilities –
Operational responsibility • Will have responsibilities for working with department managers and subject "experts" to create or refine training curriculums for employees in order to ensure performance deliverables are effective and productive to a maximum degree. • Will ensure needed coordination of training for alignment and assistance with site's employee development needs. • Will provide hands-on training for special needs and projects on an as-needed basis. • May provide coaching in training methodology for other site leaders. • Will work independently as well as through department heads and team to accomplish goals • Will have freedom of design and coordination of training programs based on site leadership team direction and needs
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
This section captures the critical capabilities that an employee needs to effectively perform the role from the outset. Both technical and non-technical in nature, focus is on the needs for the role rather than capabilities of incumbents.
Critical knowledge • 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or Technical Field. Experience in Technical Training field preferred. Experience in delivery of training modules is a plus. • Experienced in working with teams and with coordination of people and projects is required. • Experience with computer systems such as SAP, Mockingbird, PeopleSoft, Intelex desired. • Previous stand-up training experience a plus.
